Kaliber 6R35 wordt volledig in-house geproduceerd bij Seiko's Shizukuishi of SII-fabriek in Japan. Het biedt een gangreserve van ongeveer 70 uur, tikt op 21.600 bph met 24 jewels. Het bidirectionele Magic Lever rotor systeem zorgt voor efficiënte automatische opwinding in beide draairichtingen. De secondewijzer stop (hacking) maakt het mogelijk om de tijd tot op de seconde nauwkeurig in te stellen.

De 41,0 mm kast is gemaakt van Rvs (Roestvrij staal) met Super-Hard Coating met een geborstelde + gepolijste (gemengde); cirkelvormig geborstelde bovenzijde afwerking. De massieve geschroefde kastdeksel zorgt voor waterdichtheid. Het saffier horlogeglas (gebogen / bol) ligt boven de wijzerplaat, met dubbelzijdige anti-reflectiecoating voor optimale helderheid onder alle lichtomstandigheden.
De eenzijdig draaibare bezel is een cruciale veiligheidsfunctie: deze kan alleen tegen de klok in worden gedraaid, zodat elke per ongeluk gemaakte draaiing de aangegeven duiktijd verkort — nooit verlengt. De 60-minuten schaalverdeling is duidelijk gemarkeerd voor het meten van verstreken tijd. De schroefkroon zorgt voor een veilige afdichting tegen binnendringend water.
De matte wit gelakte metalen wijzerplaat met horizontaal streeppatroon heeft opgelegde baton uurmarkeringen met LumiBrite-inleg. LumiBrite — Seiko's eigen strontiumaluminaat fotoluminescerende verbinding — wordt aangebracht op de Wijzers en uurmarkeringen, en zorgt voor een betrouwbare groene gloed bij weinig licht en in het donker, zonder radioactief materiaal.
Geleverd op een Rvs (Roestvrij staal) 5-schakelband met een bandaanzetbreedte van 20 mm. De vouwsluiting met drukknoppen en duikersverlenging zorgt voor een veilige sluiting met een verlenging voor gebruik over een wetsuit. Aftermarket bandopties zijn beschikbaar voor de 20 mm bandaanzetbreedte.
Waterdicht tot 200 m / 20 ATM / 20 bar en ISO 6425 duikhorloge gecertificeerd. Dit betekent dat het horloge is ontworpen en getest voor professioneel gebruik bij scubaduiken. ISO 6425-certificering vereist dat het horloge meer dan 15 afzonderlijke tests doorstaat, waaronder waterdruk, condensbestendigheid, bandbevestiging, afleesbaarheid, schokbestendigheid, magnetische bestendigheid en de eisen van een eenzijdige bezel. Het Seiko diashock-systeem absorbeert mechanische schokken op het uurwerk.

Not only this is my favorite Chrono from Festina, it was purchased in France, carrying many memories. Now refreshed with the better than the original blueish strap, becoming a bright yellow touch, instantly recognized, wherever I wear it. Looks like I‘ve got the last available strap. Had trouble getting the item the first time. The dial was returned to holland and had to be shipped out again. BUT they were very communicative and allowed me to add a second hand to the order that was out of stock for my first order. Very pleased. Amazing product, my first real seiko dial!
Beautiful deep teal-green glacial ice dial
The shroud took a little bit over a week to arrive, but it was pretty quick considering that I live in Australia, it came perfectly secured inside the packaging with the original Seiko part number label, super easy to replace and great quality. I hope that they stock them again soon to buy another one just in case I need it in the future.
