Het Calibre 4R36 wordt volledig in eigen huis geproduceerd bij Seiko's SII-fabriek in Japan. Het tikt op 21.600 bph met 24 jewels en levert ongeveer ca. 41 uur gangreserve. De bidirectionele Magic Lever rotor windt automatisch in beide richtingen op. Zowel met de hand opwinden via de kroon als het stilzetten van de secondewijzer voor nauwkeurige tijdsinstelling worden ondersteund — functies die ontbreken bij het oudere 7S26-uurwerk dat deze generatie vervangt.

De 42,5 mm kast is vervaardigd uit Roestvrij staal 316L met een geborstelde zijkanten + gepolijste lugs (gemengd) afwerking. Het Hardlex (Seiko eigen gehard mineraalglas) bevindt zich boven de wijzerplaat. Waterdichtheid is beoordeeld op 100 m / 10 ATM / 10 bar.
De Bruin (mat / warme tint) wijzerplaat heeft opgelegde baton indexen (rechthoekig) met lumibrite. LumiBrite — Seiko's eigen strontiumaluminaat-compound — is aangebracht op Wijzers en uurmarkeringen, wat zorgt voor een betrouwbare groene gloed in het donker. Dag- en datumweergave op 3 uur.
Geleverd op een Nylon NATO-band (bruin/olijfgroen) met 22 mm bandaanzetbreedte, vastgezet met een gesp (nato-stijl). De 22 mm bandaanzetbreedte biedt een enorme keuze aan aftermarket banden — een van de meest ondersteunde maten binnen de horlogegemeenschap.

Not only this is my favorite Chrono from Festina, it was purchased in France, carrying many memories. Now refreshed with the better than the original blueish strap, becoming a bright yellow touch, instantly recognized, wherever I wear it. Looks like I‘ve got the last available strap. That makes it even more fancy! Lucky I am!

Had trouble getting the item the first time. The dial was returned to holland and had to be shipped out again. BUT they were very communicative and allowed me to add a second hand to the order that was out of stock for my first order. Very pleased. Amazing product, my first real seiko dial!
Beautiful deep teal-green glacial ice dial
The shroud took a little bit over a week to arrive, but it was pretty quick considering that I live in Australia, it came perfectly secured inside the packaging with the original Seiko part number label, super easy to replace and great quality. I hope that they stock them again soon to buy another one just in case I need it in the future.

So I like to mess with beat up watches found on various auction sites. They are often sad and neglected pieces therefore I have several ‘go to’ suppliers that have the hard to find NOS items required to bring the watches back to life. The pic shows all those a bunch of Seiko’s that I’ve found over the last few months that have needed saving … I couldn’t have done this without the input from Watch Plazza.
